George Zimmerman and DMX Will Not Be Boxing Each Other Afterall

And just that quickly, DMX and George Zimmerman will not be facing off in a boxing ring as promised. The promoter who arranged the "celebrity" match has apparently gotten cold feet and pulled the plug on his own event.

Just last week, it was announced that the two men would fight in a three-round, pay-per-view match in the vein of previous match-ups that featured the likes of Tonya Harding and Michael Lohan.

Like the other matches, Damon Feldman planned and promoted this event, but it apparently became too much for him to handle. Not only did he announce his decision to cancel on Twitter, but he also let the world know that he was walking away from a million dollar pay day. It appears the bad press wasn't worth the reward.

When he first announced the match, Feldman said that it would be "one of the Biggest Celebrity Boxing matches of all time."

DMX had also gotten himself worked up, telling TMZ that he was "going to beat the living f**k out him [Zimmerman]".
