So this Nigerian guy goes to a reality show (Dragon’s Den) which sponsors brilliant ideas and helps them start up, to propose setting up a church for commercial returns, as his own business idea… Hmmm
But seriously, take another look at this situation, an objective look… This guy could pass as being smarter than us all on second thoughts o. Isn’t it just brilliant? Invest 50,000 pounds and recoup 150,000 pounds just in the first 3 years? So in total he must have made within the range of how much? 200,000 pounds annually? For a start-up church? Why should I not just invest in this and go to sleep for the next 3 years?
If Pastors in your country now preach Prosperity rather than Piety, have more private jets than they have bibles, dorn icy jesus-pieces that make Rick Ross’ own look like he got it from a pawn shop..... while on the other hand, young people must create jobs for themselves or take up arms like Niger Delta Militants or Boko Haram in order to get government’s attention and as much free bonuses as possible, what other sane options does a young and ambitious go-getter like Pastor Jonah have?
So brothers and sisters, if you’re tired of job-hunting fruitlessly and do have interest in working for “God” , go ahead and polish your entrepreneurial skills, do your feasibility studies well and create a kick-ass business proposal for your own religious organization. Who knows, the banks might just support the business if your proposal is as convincing as Pastor Jonah's!
