NAS IS DROPPING UNRELEASED MUSIC AND A FILM FOR ILLMATIC 20TH ANNIVERSARY


This year marks a historical year for legendary Queens MC Nas. It will mark the 20th year since the release of his phenomenal debut album Illmatic. Fans are in for something special for the album’s 20th.


According to Legacy Recordings the album will be re released this year jammed with extras. Besides a digitally remastered version of the original album a second disc will be included with 10 unreleased songs and remixes.

Online fans will have the pleasure of viewing a feature film documentary on Illmatic. The film titled “Time is Illmatic” will give us an inside look to “the social conditions and environmental influences that contributed to Nas’ worldview” along with his father Olu Dara musical achievements and influence.
In addition to Illmatic rerelease Nas will be performing the whole album on the road this year including twice at this years Coachella Festival on April 12th and 19.
